FASHION TRENDS 2018: WHAT TO EMBRACE AND TO AVOID

January 19, 2018

Now that we have welcomed 2018 with open arms, it’s time to extend the same courtesy to this season’s trends! Each year, comes with so many possibilities, and the same applies to its runway offerings. Let’s deep delve head first into the world of trends, we’re here with you every step of the way!

                                              TRENDS TO EMBRACE

POWER PASTELS

This season pastel comes with a power punch. Forget dainty, daring is in!  We suggest picking pastel hues with edgy details to truly bring it up to speed.

PLASTIC MEASURES

For a country that loves its monsoon, this trend is a blessing. Our rain gear just got a runway upgrade. Swap your umbrellas for these high fashion keepers.

SHEER LOVE

A little skin never hurt no one.  This season, show off that tan with peek-a-boo pieces like these. Remember to wear contrasting inner to truly let your diva shine through.

TRENCH IT!

Our love affair with the trenches continues, only now it’s gotten messy and how! Look for trenches in candy hues or details like tassels, ruffles and layers thrown in for a powerful impact.

                                            TRENDS TO AVOID

HAUTE PERFORMANCE

Unless you intend to star in a dystopic drama, we say leave this trend for the runway and well, maybe Lady Gaga.

STATEMENT STRAW HAT

We think sunscreen is a much better bet than this one to avoid the grueling sun.  As far as fashion points go, we’d give it a 3. We leave the rest to you.

RUBBER

We are all for innovation, but unfortunately our climate isn’t. We say, give this one a miss for our subcontinent

BLACK AND WHITE POLKA DOTS

Who doesn’t love retro? But unless you can pull of something rad with this trend, leave it for the flower children.  We’d skip this one for now.

I hope this has inspired you to go out there and set your own trend for us to follow. More power to you ladies! Remember, a little imagination goes a long way!
